HOPKINSVILLE, Ky. (CLARKSVILLENOW) – A mail carrier with the U.S. Postal Service was severely injured in a dog attack Monday in Hopkinsville, according to WKRN News 2.
She was airlifted to a Nashville hospital with severe injuries following a dog bite while on her route.
Several agencies, including the Hopkinsville Fire Department, Hopkinsville Police Department and Animal Control, responded to the scene on Jessup Avenue for a reported dog bite.
Captain Michael Pendleton with the Hopkinsville Fire Department told News 2 that the mail carrier was flown to TriStar Skyline Medical Center for treatment.
No further information was released and the incident remains under investigation.
