CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. – A single driver caused multiple crashes Friday, Dec. 20 in Clarksville, which resulted in several injuries.
According to Officer Natalie Hall with the Clarksville Police Department (CPD), police received a call at 5:02 p.m. which said a possibly intoxicated driver, Nushawn Gaskin (28), driving a white 1997 Chevrolet Camaro, was headed south on Wilma Rudolph Blvd. away from Olive Garden.
Gaskin was involved in the following crashes reported to police:
1. Crash involving a 2001 Toyota Tacoma at Center Point Dr. and Wilma Rudolph Blvd.
2. Crash involving a Toyota Tundra at Trenton Rd. and 101st Airborne Div. Pkwy
3. Crash involving a Chrysler Town and Country (location unknown)
4. Crash involving a 2006 GMC Sierra at Wilma Rudolph Blvd. and Dunbar Cave Rd.
Three people, including Gaskin, were injured and transported by EMS to Gateway Medical Center.
Gaskin was an active duty soldier who was recently released from Fort Sill, Oklahoma for desertion. He was released from Kentucky authorities after serving 90 days. He currently has charges for domestic assault and driving on a revoked license on file.
He will be charged with DUI and other pending charges. There is no further information at this time.
