Rebecca Virginia (Becky) Hollis Simmons, 95, went to be with God and her husband, the love of her life, Jack Cecil Simmons January 24, 2019.
She was born to John Henry Hollis and Bessie Pearl Stack Hollis, February 17, 1923. Becky and her husband were blessed with five children, Nancy Jacqueline Douty (Bob), Larry Dale Simmons (Sandy Negretti), Terry Wade Simmons, deceased (Karen Hanson), Richard Glen Simmons, deceased, and Helen Dianne Bellow (Gary). She was also blessed with ten grandchildren, twenty great-grandchildren, and seven great-great-grandchildren.
She will be missed and loved by all, including many nieces and nephews, as well as heart held sisters Nell Simmons Hollis and Jean Simmons Knaebel. Brothers and sisters already with God are Agnes Rinehart, Marie Osborn, Robert Carroll, Dean, Lewis. Jim, David Alva and John Henry, Jr.
Becky was a long-time faithful member of Cumberland Drive Baptist Church and in recent years, Crossland Avenue Baptist Church. Grandsons and nephews will serve as pallbearers.
Visitation for family and friends will be Sunday, January 27, 2019 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the chapel of McReynolds-Nave & Larson Funeral Home. Pastor B J Wall will present the eulogy in the Chapel, Sunday at 2 p.m. Interment will follow in Resthaven Memorial Gardens.
