CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. – (CLARKSVILLENOW) – The City of Clarksville is expanding its digital footprint. Official city social media accounts now include YouTube, Twitter, and Instagram.

Citizens are now able to view City Council meetings streamed live via YouTube, as well as view past meetings, at the City of Clarksville YouTube channel. Existing modes of viewing – such as live and archived streaming through the City’s website, and live broadcast and daily repeats on CDE Lightband Channel 3 – will continue.

“One of my immediate goals upon taking office was to open the lines of communication between the citizens of Clarksville and the City,” Mayor Joe Pitts said. “The additional social media accounts are one avenue where we are meeting that intent.”

The City will continue to expand opportunities for citizens to engage with their local government as the year progresses.

A digital town hall hosted on the City of Clarksville, TN Government Facebook page is planned for Thursday, Jan. 17 at 5:30 p.m. Viewers can forward questions in advance via the Facebook page or ask questions and voice concerns live with Mayor Pitts.
