Hopkinsville, Ky. – (CLARKSVILLENOW) – A Hopkinsville, man was arrested Monday in the shooting death of a man in Trigg County.

43-year-old James W. Gentry was taken into custody on a charge of murder in the death of Keith “Joey” Hayes Jr. of Hopkinsville.

The body of the 35-year-old was found last week off of Buffalo Road in Trigg County. An autopsy determined he died from multiple gunshots.

Gentry is being held in the Christian County Jail. According to police, Gentry was previously arrested on Friday on charges of receiving stolen property and tampering with physical evidence in the case.
