CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. (CLARKSVILLENOW) – Police are trying to identify a man who tricked a store clerk into refunding $197 using a fake manager’s note.
On Nov. 11, the suspect slipped a note into a propane cage at the business. The note said money was supposed to be refunded since the person received three empty tanks. Since the clerk believed it had been authorized by management, the refund was given.
