FORT CAMPBELL, Ky. (CLARKSVILLENOW) – The Fort Campbell Training Area will be closed and off-limits to all through traffic and recreational use from 7 p.m. Nov. 28 at 7 p.m. through Dec. 14 at 5 a.m. for military training.

The closure is needed to ensure public safety, according to officials.

The access gates to the training area, located at U.S. Highway 79 and Palmyra Road in Tennessee and Lafayette Road near Patton Road in Kentucky (this is not Lafayette near Gate 10), will be closed and locked for the duration of the training. All roads west of 101st Airborne Division Road will be barricaded by law enforcement to prevent vehicles from entering the training area.

Personnel who need to access the training area for official business may enter the training area from 101st Airborne Division Road at Jordan Springs Road or by using cantonment area gates during normal operating hours. If traveling through the training area for official business, please use extreme caution as roadways are subject to unannounced closure and obstacle placement in support of training.

Unauthorized personnel in the training area during the closure are subject to detention or apprehension for trespassing or entry into an off-limits area per federal or state laws, or the Uniformed Code of Military Justice as applicable.

Angels Gate Hours: Nov. 27-29 5 a.m. to 9 p.m.; Nov. 30-Dec. 11 24-hour operations; Dec. 11-14 normal gate hours
Mabry Gate Hours: Nov. 27-Dec. 10 5 a.m. to 5 p.m.; closed weekends, DONSAs, and holidays; Dec. 11-14 normal gate hours.
