RUTHERFORD COUNTY, Tenn. (WKRN) – A woman was killed and two others hurt due to storm-related injuries in Christiana early Tuesday morning.
Crews were called to the home on Midland Road for a collapsed structure, a home possibly hit by a tornado on Rock Springs Midland Road and a fire at a home on Barley Road around 12:45 a.m., according to Rutherford County Fire Rescue.
According to the Rutherford County Sheriff’s Office, the woman was killed in the collapsed home on Midland Road and the two others were injured when a mobile home rolled onto its side on Rock Springs Midland Road.
The woman has been identified as 41-year-old Angie Walker, wife of WGNS Radio President Scott Walker.

A two-story home on Barley Road was hit by lightning, according to the Rutherford County Sheriff’s Office, and a man and three children were able to escape to safety. Officials said the fire at the home was contained to the attic.
In Montgomery County, there were some trees and power lines that came down as well as flooding in some low lying areas, but no injuries were reported.
Tornadoes were reportedly spotted in the Christiana area by the National Weather Service.
Damage was also reported in Franklin County, Tennessee in the town of Estill Springs near Finney Road.
A mobile home was moved 40 feet from its foundation near where a barn partially collapsed, trapping five horses inside. Three of the horses were not injured and two will have to be euthanized.
Investigators with the National Weather Service will survey the damaged areas Tuesday.
There have been 15 tornadoes in Middle Tennessee and Southern Kentucky so far this year. There were 26 last year.
