CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. (CLARKSVILLENOW) – The estranged husband of a Fort Campbell soldier who was shot and killed Oct. 14 has a pending domestic assault case in Montgomery County court.

According to court records, Victor Silvers was charged with domestic assault after allegedly assaulting his wife, Brittney Silvers, on July 22, 2018.

The arrest warrant says Brittney Silvers drove to a Crossland Avenue address because she hadn’t heard from the suspect all day. She told police that the couple got into an argument and said Victor Silvers opened her car door, grabbed her by the neck with one hand, and hit her in the face twice with his other hand.

The responding officer said he saw blood on Brittney Silvers’ lips and her face appeared to be swollen. The warrant says she denied medical attention and “felt safe to go home.”

A hearing for Victor Silvers in the domestic assault case was set for Nov. 13.

Sgt. Brittney Silvers was shot and killed October 14 at Fort Campbell. The FBI said Wednesday in a statement Victor Silvers was arrested on a federal complaint and will have a court hearing Thursday in Paducah.

The complaint says Silvers is accused of murder, domestic violence and other counts.
