CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. – The Indoor Aquatic Center located on 166 Cunningham Lane is now hiring for part-time lifeguards and cashiers.
Potential lifeguards must be at least 15 years of age and able to swim 300 yards continuously, tread water for two minutes without the use of arms or hands and successfully complete a timed event within 1 minute and 40 seconds.
All candidates must apply before December 9th for the first round of lifeguard classes being held next week, from 3 p.m. until 8 p.m., December 9 through December 12. There will be a $60.00 cost to take the class, and a $32 cost for the required textbook. A second class will be available December 30 through January 5 for those unable to meet the first deadline.
Cashiers should be at least 18 years of age and know basic math and computer skills.
Lifeguards and cashiers are needed for the following hours:
• Monday through Thursday from 6:15 a.m. until noon, and from 3 p.m. until 8 p.m.
• Fridays from 6:15 a.m. until noon, and from 3 p.m. until 6 p.m.
• Saturdays from noon until 6 p.m.
• Sundays from 1 p.m. until 6 p.m.
