CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. (CLARKSVILLENOW) – Cara Allison Daniel, 17, daughter of Trey and Lisa Daniel, was recently presented with the PEO STAR scholarship in the amount of $2,500.
PEO International is a philanthropic educational organization that was founded in 1869 where women celebrate women, educate women through scholarships, grants, awards, loans, and stewardship of Cottey College, and motivate women to achieve their highest aspirations.
The STAR scholarship is based on excellence in leadership, extracurricular activities, community service, academics, and potential for future success. The scholarship was named STAR in recognition of “Scholastic-Talent-Accomplishment-Recognition”.
All applicants for this highly competitive scholarship must go through a rigorous application, interview, voting, and sponsorship process. Cara was sponsored by Tennessee Chapter H and will be attending Austin Peay State University in the Fall majoring in Nursing.
