CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. – Dave Myers of Beaver 100.3 FM is participating in “No Shave November” in order to raise money for St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, and his goal is to raise $1,000. One very generous listener agreed to match the donation amount if he reaches it, so every contribution, no matter how large or small, will help.

Read Dave’s message below to find out how you can donate to a worthy cause.

“I am participating in the 3rd Annual “No Shave November” competition to benefit St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.

I can’t promise I will grow much of a beard, but I do promise to do all I can to help this great cause!

They need our help! 75% of the operating costs of St. Jude are funded by people just like you and I, one donation at a time! Your donor dollars help fuel the groundbreaking research that leads to pioneering care and treatments for childhood care and other deadly diseases! A child who is a patient at St. Jude never pays a dime for treatment that is not covered by insurance, and no child is EVER denied treatment because of a familiy’s inability to pay. Your donations also help St. Jude cover the other costs a family typically incurs while their child is being treated at the hospital, including travel, housing and food!

Click ‘donate now’ below to make a donation in support of the mission of St. Jude — finding cures and saving children. Your gift will help the doctors and researchers at St. Jude find new treatments for cancer and other deadly diseases.

Check back often to see my progress. You can also help by sharing my page with your friends or on your Facebook or Twitter accounts to get your friends involved. Thanks for helping me reach my goal for the kids of St. Jude.”
