NASHVILLE, Tenn. – (CLARKSVILLENOW) Middle Tennessee is under an Air Quality Alert through midnight Thursday.

The Tennessee Department of Environment and Conservation (TDEC) has issued code orange air quality alert for ozone.

Ground level ozone concentrations within the region may approach or exceed unhealthy standards. The general public is not likely to be affected. Active children and adults, and people with a respiratory disease such as asthma, should limit outdoor activity.

These conditions represent an added hazard for those attending CMA Fest in Nashville, where temperatures will reach the low 90’s.

The Vanderbilt LifeFlight Event Medicine team will  be on site to treat festival goers in need of medical attention. Last year, LifeFlight treated 782 patients at the music festival.
