Fort Campbell, KY. – (CLARKSVILLENOW) In a flight Sunday morning and another early Monday, a total 233 soldiers with the 101st Combat Aviation Brigade (CAB) returned from their nine-month deployment to Southwest Asia. The soldiers were part of Operation Spartan Shield, serving in the region of Iraq, Syria and Afghanistan.
On Sunday, Major Travis Owen said this when asked what it felt like to be home. “It feels wonderful, I’m really excited and everyone’s happy to be home,” said Owen. Owen’s wife Krystal agreed, saying the family was happy to have him back.
