HOPKINSVILLE, Ky. (CLARKSVILLENOW) – A Hopkinsville man has been charged with assault after allegedly running over a woman with a vehicle.
On December 21, 2017 Trooper Brian Graves with Kentucky State Police (KSP) responded to a call of a woman who had been run over by a vehicle. Police discovered Michael Wolff, 21 of Hopkinsville, ran over Ashley Rivera-Mena, 33 of Nortonville, with his vehicle after a verbal altercation in Mannington, KY.
Rivera-Mena was transported to Baptist Health Madisonville, where she was then transported by helicopter to a hospital in Evansville, IN for non-life threatening injuries.
On December 30, two troopers spotted Wolff driving a 2004 GMC pickup on Greenville Road in Hopkinsville and pulled him over to arrest him. During the stop troopers discovered a concealed handgun in Wolff’s vehicle.
Wolff was booked into the Christian County Detention Center and charged with assault and carrying a concealed weapon.
