Although the temperature may be dropping, winter hair color is bringing the heat. This fall is all about warm, rich hues. My three favorite for this fall are, auburn ombre, “richer” blonde, and dark chocolate.
Say goodbye to the stark blonde ombre of the summer, and hello to 50 shades of auburn. Auburn ombre starts with a warm brown base color and slight shade variations of red and auburn from the mid-length to the ends of your hair. Next, we have the multidimensional, much richer blondes than we have seen in the warmer months. Darken the base color and add honey, caramel or golden hues. Finish the fall trends with an edgy dark chocolate; almost on the verge of black, sexy and sleek with no need for highlights. A gloss is a great way to add shine and seal in your color change for winter.
Lastly, always remember to ask your stylist what shampoo and conditioner to use to help protect the color investment that you’ve made. A few I recommend are Aveda Color Conserve, Oribe for Beautiful Color, and Frederic Fekkai Color Shampoo. These products will help protect your color from running down the drain. Stay tuned for more fall fashion and beauty trends.
