Jazz on the Lawn
Jazz on the Lawn is Saturday, June 10 at Beachaven Vineyards & Winery. Jim Gibson will perform.
Live music begins at 6:30 p.m. and goes until 9:30 p.m. and the event is free. Because seating is “general admission,” it’s beneficial to arrive about an hour early to get both a good parking spot and a good view of the band. “Rules of the Beach”: Bring your friends, a picnic, and a blanket and/or lawn chairs & valid ID. Do not bring pets (certified service animals are permitted), grills, tents, and outside alcohol. Admission and parking are free.
Movies in the Park
Movies in the Park — the City of Clarksville’s free, outdoor movie series — continues on Saturday, June 10 with the showing of “Moana” at Heritage Park, 1241 Peachers Mill Road.
Pre-show activities, coordinated by the Clarksville Parks & Recreation Department, will begin at 6:30 p.m. The movie will begin promptly at 8:15 p.m.
Free Fishing Day
The 2017 Free Fishing Day is Saturday, June 10 when anyone may fish free without a license in Tennessee’s public waters.
The Tennessee Wildlife Resources Agency provides the annual free day in hopes of increasing interest in fishing. Kids can also register for the TWRA Kids Fishing Rodeo at Liberty Park pond.
