CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. (CLARKSVILLENOW) – The Korean American Association held their Annual New Year’s Eve Party on January 27, 2017.
Distinguished guests, members of the Korean American Association, local businessmen, elected officials, and nearly 400 guests filled the Morgan University Center at Austin Peay to celebrate the Year of the Rooster.
The evening started with both the American and Korean National anthem sung by Michelle Park. Korean American Association President Sonny Campbell welcomed guests to the night’s festivities.
Sheriff John Fuson, Mayor Kim McMillan, Representatives Curtis Johnson and Jay Reedy, and Commissioner John Genis spoke at the event.
The night showcased a traditional Korean dance, a worship dance and a martial arts demonstration while guests dined on traditional Korean cuisine. The night ended with a karaoke singing contest.
