CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. – (CLARKSVILLENOW) Over two dozen people turned out Friday evening for a candlelight vigil for a missing Fort Campbell soldier, Shadow McClaine. The vigil took place in the Millennium Plaza of Montgomery County Courthouse in downtown Clarksville.
McClaine’s mother, London Wegrzyn, talked about her feelings about the vigil and the search for her missing daughter. “I’m very touched, there’s no words to describe how this uplifts me and makes me feel that there are so many people who care and take their time to look for my baby,” said Wegrzyn.
Clarksville Mayor Kim McMillan said the citizens of the city were there for McCaline’s family. “You know that we are there for you and that we are praying for you, thinking about you, and wish the safe return of your loved one. We want you to know that,” said McMillan.
Each person at the vigil was invited to sign a photo of McClaine that was given to the family as a show of the community’s support in the effort to find her.
