CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. (CLARKSVILLENOW) – A motorcycle rider was seriously injured Saturday night after crashing into a parked vehicle at the 1000 block of Tolliver Way.

The crash occurred at 11:14 p.m.

The victim has been identified as 27-year-old Brandon Waynick of Clarksville. Police said evidence suggests Waynick left his residence on the motorcycle, without a helmet, and traveled a short distance before losing control.

Police estimated the bike skidded approximately 83 feet before slamming into the back of a parked and unoccupied Ford Escape.

Waynick was transported by LifeFlight to Vanderbilt Medical Center with what appeared to be life-threatening injuries. He is currently in stable condition. No other individuals were involved in this crash.

Police believe alcohol was a factor in the crash. Charges are pending.
