CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. – The ClarksVillain Roller Girls will host their first event of the fall season Saturday, September 3 at 6 p.m. at the Clarksville Speedway, 1600 Needmore Road.

This will be a special double-header game, dedicated to the wonderful teachers that make our community great. All teachers will receive free admission to the game with their school ID.

The first game will debut the “new class” of students: The ClarksVillain Henchmen B-Team! The B-Team consists mostly of new players who started their roller derby journeys this year and are finally getting their chance to show what they can do.

“It’s amazing when I think back to where I was 2 months ago to where I am now,” says newbie Jamie Peake, who will now forever be known by her derby name, Lil Sun-Shiner. “I love this team and the progress I’ve made since joining it.”

Not to be shown up, the veteran ClarksVillain Roller Girls will hit the track in the second game of the evening: an all-star, co-ed mash-up, featuring some of the best male and female skaters from Tennessee, Kentucky, Alabama, Missouri, Indiana, Illinois, and Mississippi. Between the games, there will be a special half-time show by students from the Infinity Dance Fitness Academy, a non-profit dance studio based in Clarksville and dedicated to promoting health and wellness through dance.

Doors will open at 5 p.m. on Saturday at the event space, which can be found easily from the Boyscout Road entrance to the Clarksville Speedway. Parking is free and there is special seating for those in wheelchairs. Tickets at the door will be $12, with free admission for teachers with school ID and children 12 and under.

There are a limited number of $9 presale tickets available at http://clarksvillains.brownpapertickets.com. Beer and other concessions will be sold, must be 21+ to drink.
