HOPKINSVILLE, Ky. (CLARKSVILLENOW) – An officer with the Hopkinsville Police Department has been arrested on charges related to the sexual abuse of a child.
Upon hearing of the allegations against 32-year-old Ian Levi Damber on Aug. 17, the department immediately notified Kentucky State Police (KSP).
Damber was arrested as the result of an investigation following a complaint of illegal sexual contact with a minor, according to KSP.
He was charged with five counts of sexual abuse in the first degree and booked into the Christian County Jail.
The charges are Class-D felonies punishable by one to five years in prison if convicted.
