CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. – (CLARKSVILLENOW) – Four Clarksville banks are expected to review security camera footage for potential suspects who installed credit/debit card skimmers on several ATM machines.
After the banks review the footage, images may be released to media for possible identification.
On Saturday, August 13 at 9:00 a.m., Clarksville Police received a tip about a suspicious ATM machine at First Advantage Bank on Wilma Rudolph Blvd. A bank employee then advised other locations about the breach and skimmers were discovered on two more ATM machines.
Saturday evening, Clarksville Police issued an update indicating that another card skimmer was found at an F&M Bank on Madison St.
These are the four locations where skimmers were found on ATMs:
First Advantage Bank
- 2070 Wilma Rudolph Blvd
- 1929 Madison Street
- 1800 Fort Campbell Blvd
F&M Bank
- 1891 Madison Street
Clarksville Police officers have taken possession of the devices and according to police other ATM’s may have also been tampered with.
Police advise all businesses, especially banks and gas stations to check equipment where credit/debit cards can be used.
