CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. (CLARKSVILLENOW) – A Clarksville man has been arrested after allegedly punching a woman during a road rage incident.

According to an arrest warrant, the victim was driving on Wilma Rudolph Blvd. on May 27. She was using her GPS to merge into southbound traffic.

The victim told police that when she came to a stop, 69-year-old Thomas Ray Jerles came up to her window and began to bang on the glass.

She said when she rolled down her window to apologize for cutting him off, Jerles reached inside and punched her in the face.

Jerles was charged with burglary of a motor vehicle because he had to enter the vehicle’s window to strike the victim. His bond was set at $10,000.
