NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) – Republican U.S. Sen. Bob Corker is expected to meet with Donald Trump Monday, according to reports.
The pair will reportedly meet at the Trump Tower in New York City.
There has been speculation that Sen. Corker may be in the running for a possible vice presidential position for the presumptive Republican nominee; however, Corker has not confirmed this.
At the Tennessee GOP Statement’s Dinner on May 13, Corker said he wanted to learn more about Trump’s policies.
“I’m anxious to see those things too, and I think all of us want to help in any way we can to shape those policies. If asked, I’m certainly not calling over, but only responding when asked and that’s the way we work together and that’s how we end up with good policies for our country,” stated Sen. Corker.
The senator’s officer did not respond to News 2’s request for comment about the meeting with Trump.
