CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. (CLARKSVILLENOW) – The National Weather Service predicts a chance of severe thunderstorms throughout Middle Tennessee.
A wind advisory is in effect for Montgomery County through 7 p.m., with wind gusts over 35 mph expected. Winds this strong may blown down a few trees or limbs and cause isolated power outages. Driving may also become difficult.
Strong to severe thunderstorms are expected through 10 p.m. across the midstate, including Montgomery County.
The main threat will be damaging straight line winds.
Meteorologists said the threat of tornadoes is low, but one or two may still be possible.
