ELKTON, Ky. – A Guthrie man was rescued when his vehicle caught fire following a crash Saturday morning.

According to Kentucky State Police, Roy Arms III was driving a 2013 Nissan northbound on Old Railroad Lane around 9:54 a.m. when his vehicle left the roadway for an unknown reason.

The vehicle hit a tree and came to a complete stop, then caught fire.

Arms was found by a passerby and pulled from the vehicle.

Arms sustained injuries to his legs, torso, and face and was airlifted to a Clarksville hospital where he was treated.

Elkton and Guthrie Fire Departments put out the vehicle fire.
