CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. – A group of local retired veterans recently shared some Christmas joy when they donated a bicycle for someone in need. The group refers to themselves as “The Veterans of the Round Table” and presented the bike to the New Providence Community Policing Center.
They get together throughout the week at the McDonalds on Fort Campbell Boulevard to share stories, past and present, and also as they put it, sometimes to solve the world’s problems. They don’t consider themselves a club or an organization, just a bunch of guys and gals who have been there and done that.
The veterans are from all walks of life who have served in Korea, Vietnam, Desert Storm, Desert Shield, as well as working in civilian jobs catering to the military. They know no strangers so they are hoping someone will benefit from the heart felt gift given to Booker Daily and Officer Tracy Braley of the Clarksville Police Department.
