ASHLAND CITY, Tenn. – Two suspects wanted for two pharmacy robberies were arrested in Ashland City on Sunday, according to WKRN News 2.
The Cheatham County Sheriff’s Office said tips from citizens assisted with the arrests.
The first robbery occurred at the CVS Pharmacy on Memorial Boulevard in Springfield around 10:15 a.m. Sunday morning.
Police told News 2 the man walked into the pharmacy with a note demanding Oxycontin and he had a gun. He was unsuccessful and fled the store to a vehicle waiting across the street.
The getaway driver was waiting in a red pickup truck with loud mufflers and a broken windshield.
The second robbery happened at a Rite Aid in Ashland City around 12:15 p.m. at 655 South Main St.
A man with the same description was able to obtain pills from the Rite Aid and fled in the same vehicle.
Identities have not yet been released.
