FORT CAMPBELL, Ky. – The Fort Campbell Soldier for Life- Transition Assistance Program (SFL-TAP) will host an employer event October 21 from 9 a.m.-2 p.m., as well as a Law Enforcement Career Fair and Seminar Oct. 22.

Featured employers Oct. 21 include Kentucky Dept of Corrections, Troops to Teachers R.E. West Transportation, Messer Construction Company, Express Employment, Where Opportunity Knox & Kentucky State Police.

Non-military personnel are invited to attend but must first obtain a visitors pass at Ft Campbell’s gate 4 or 7 Visitors Centers. Visitors must provide a valid driver’s license, vehicle registration, and proof of insurance to enter Fort Campbell.

The US Customs and Border Protection (CBP) is hiring now hiring transitioning veterans. This is an great opportunity to get hired as a federal law enforcement agent, before you are even out of the Army.

Visit the CBP at the Oct. 22 Fort Campbell Transition Summit, located at Fort Campbell Personnel Processing Center (PPC), 7162 Hedge Row Rd, just inside gate seven.

CBP law enforcement events include:
-Law Enforcement Seminar (0930-1100, PPC) -Career Fair (22 Oct 1300-1630, PPC) -Detailed briefing to those interested in applying (22 Oct 1700-1900, SSG English Education Center Auditorium)

CBP will provide specific hiring information during theevents to any service men or women interested in a job with CBP. Interested Soldiers will be provided a CBP email address in order to email their federal resume and supporting documentation.

Upon receipt of the required information, CBP HR Specialists will review the documentation and determine if they are qualified. Those found qualified will be invited to take the entrance exam on Fort Campbell, on or about Nov. 3-5. Those who pass the entrance exam will be invited to conduct oral structured interviews and a polygraph test at Fort Campbell on or about Nov. 16. Upon completion of this process, CBP will offer full-time employment to those who pass.

-Marine Interdiction Officers
-Customs and Border Protection Officers
-Air Interdiction Agents (Aircraft/Airplane/Helicopter/UAS Pilot) Soldiers may apply for employment up to one year prior to exiting the military so it is imperative that you attend the Oct. 22 events.
