CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. – Clarksville native and well-known outdoorsman Wade Bourne hosts a nationally syndicated outdoors radio program that airs across the country and he records it all right here in Clarksville.
His daily show Wired 2 Hunt covers outdoor tips, equipment reviews, stories, recipes and much more focusing on outdoor recreation and conservation. Bourne hosts experts from just about every field in the outdoor industry to give useful and entertaining content to his estimated 1.5 million listeners.
Local Influence
Bourne is a life-long Clarksvillian and says he draws most of the inspiration for the show and topic ideas from his hunting and fishing adventures here in the Tennessee and Kentucky region.
“This area has some of the best outdoor opportunities out of anywhere,” Bourne said. “I feel fortunate to have grown up and lived in this area. And, I’ve had the pleasure of enjoying many, many outdoor adventures here in this area.”
Bourne attended Austin Peay, graduated from the University of Tennessee and later from Murray State. He also served five years in the Air Force. Wade currently lives on his family farm in Clarksville.
The Show
The veteran writer and broadcaster says he gets great joy out of sharing stories and tips from his adventures with his listeners in almost 300 markets across the country.
“I’m blessed to be able to turn my passion of outdoor recreation into my career,” he said. “It allows me to encourage others to ‘Get Outside’ every day.”
