This contest has ended
This contest is being run concurrently and simultaneously with radio stations in the Clarksville/Hopkinsville area affiliated with Five Star Media Group. Listeners of said stations will be competing against each other for the same prize.
Starting on Monday February 25th, 2019 at 12pm and running through Friday, March 22nd at 11:59 pm, listeners and readers will have the chance to go online to Q108.com, Beaver1003.com, Z975.com, rewind943.com, mysunny991.com, espnclarksville.com, clarksvillenow.com, myez999.com, and Outlaw1007.com to register for a chance to win the Dream Home Makeover valued at $3,000. Listeners are required to provide their first and last name, date of birth, phone number, and email address in the online registration to be considered a complete registration. Each Friday before noon, from March 1st, 2019 through Friday, March 22, 2019, ten qualifiers will be selected at random on the Second Street platform from each station (WCVQ, WVVR, WZZP, WRND, WCVQ-HD2, WCVQ- HD3, WKFN, WQEZ, and Clarksville Now), for a total of 450 qualifiers. Qualifiers must have a complete registration to be considered valid which includes full name, date of birth, working telephone number, and working email address. Listeners may only qualify once. A listener who is a selected qualifier may not obtain or reenter the drawing for additional qualifications.
One entry per person, per station. Listeners may have a total number of 9 registrations, one for each station. Listeners can only register once per station during the contest period. Submitting more than one entry per person will invalidate all entries by that contestant. Any entry submitted on behalf of another individual or using another person’s email address or name will be disqualified and ineligible to claim any prize. Any attempt by any participant to obtain more than the stated number of entries allowed by using same, multiple/different email addresses, identities, or any other methods void that participant’s entries and that participant may be disqualified. In the event of a dispute as to any on-line registration, the authorized account holder of the email address used to register will be deemed to be the registrant and he/she must be eligible according to these Official Rules. No mechanically reproduced or automated entries permitted. Use of any automated system to participate is prohibited and will result in disqualification and all such entries will be deemed void.
Should there not be enough valid entrants in a given week to satisfy the ten-qualifier requirement for each station, Five Star Media reserves the right to select an additional qualifier as a substitute from a sister station. In order to do so, all stations (WCVQ, WVVR, WZZP, WRND, WCVQ-HD2, WCVQ- HD3, WKFN, WQEZ, and Clarksville Now) will be listed in random order 1 – 9 in an Excel spreadsheet. Using Random.org, a Five Star Media representative will select a number at random, 1 through 9, to determine the corresponding station from which to choose additional qualifiers.
Once the qualifiers are selected at random each Friday, they will be contacted within 24 hours of their selection and notified of their qualification. At the end of the promotional entry period there will be 450 qualifiers combined from all the stations. All qualifiers will be emailed on Monday, March 25th, 2019 before 5:00pm to remind them of their qualification in the Dream Home Makeover Grand Prize Giveaway. Each will again receive the details of the Finale location and rules regarding the reverse drawing.
Each qualifier will be notified, both by phone on the day they are selected as a qualifier and again on Monday, March 25th, 2019 by email, of the Grand Finale. The Grand Finale will be held on Saturday, March 30th at 12:00 pm at A & R Stoneworks (1871 Ashland City Road Clarksville, TN 37043). All qualifiers may begin arriving at 10:45am on Saturday, March 30th, 2019 but must be in line to check in by 11:45 am on Saturday, March 30th, 2019. A Five Star staff member will monitor the time and stand at the back of the line to deny access to any participants that are not on time to check in at the Finale. Once each qualifier arrives to check in they will need to present a photo ID that matches the name of the qualifier. They will then receive a tear off raffle ticket, with the corresponding numbered ticket going into a communal box. Once all qualifiers who have arrived and checked in on time have received their raffle ticket, the reverse draw will begin.
A Five Star staff member will select at random a raffle ticket from the communal box. They will read the raffle ticket number over a loud speaker. Each number that is called is removed from the contest and no longer able to win the prize. This process will continue until there are only ten remaining raffle tickets/qualifiers. All raffle tickets in the communal box will then be cross referenced with the remaining qualifiers to ensure they are the correct people. Once confirmed, the Five Star staff member will again begin reading raffle ticket numbers out of the box. When their number is called, each qualifier can step up to the table and select their own “shopping bag”.
There will be 10 wrapped boxes on a table. The boxes must remain on the table and cannot be picked up by the qualifiers. Once each qualifier has chosen a different bag to claim a Five Star staff member will count down from 3 – 2 – 1 and all qualifiers can unwrap their respective box. Nine boxes will be empty; one bag will have a small object that says, “winner”. The box that contains the object that says “winner” is the Grand Prize winner.
The Grand Prize winner will receive vouchers totaling $3,000 to use at any of the sponsoring advertisers including: A&R Stoneworks, Lusso Granite, Herb Hays Furniture, Milestone Tile, Keystone Realty, and Lanier Lawn and Landscaping.
All qualifiers must be 18 years of age or older and have a valid Tennessee or Kentucky ID or Military ID, and reside within the listening area of any of the Five Star Media stations (WCVQ, WVVR, WZZP, WRND, WQEZ, WCVQ-HD2, WCVQ- HD3, ESPN Clarksville, and Clarksville Now). Winners must also be willing to complete the necessary paperwork, including a W9, for receipt of prize money.
No purchase necessary. Prizes are not transferrable or redeemable for cash. Winners will be responsible for state and federal taxes. Five Star Media Group and affiliated radio stations and websites will be solely responsible to award the prize. - The following are specifically related to E-contests and E-Mail Club promotions on clarksvillenow.com:
- All appropriate information in required fields must be entered correctly and completely or you will be disqualified.
- To win a prize you must reside within the listening area of ClarksvilleNow as defined at the exclusive discretion of ClarksvilleNow management.
- Any problems with the internet or email are not ClarksvilleNow’s responsibility.
- Contestants who register to participate on our website may be required to produce a printed copy of proof of registration before being allowed to participate in the contest.
- Due to the nature of our programs that are heard on-line over the internet, contests may not be heard at all on ClarksvilleNow. Contests heard on the radio station’s internet audio stream may be slightly delayed from the time the contests are heard on the broadcast station, and will be running behind the broadcast signal. Thus, all contests heard on the internet are delayed. This delay can last for as much as 30 seconds or more. This means that when ClarksvilleNow contests are played that require a specific caller to telephone the radio station (such as “Caller number 9 when you hear the sound effect”), listeners to the on-line audio stream may be at a disadvantage in participating over those listeners who hear the contests on-air.
- A copy of these rules is available during business hours at the ClarksvilleNow studios 1640 Old Russellville Pike, Clarksville, TN 37043
