CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. – The Welcome Home Parade, sponsored by the Tennessee State Council of Vietnam Veterans of America, has been confirmed by Visit Clarksville for September 15.

The event is open to all who have served in any branch of the U.S. military.

Originally created to honor Vietnam Veterans, it is now a tribute by Vietnam Veterans to all American heroes. It is intended as a day for families, friends and all citizens to salute the service and sacrifices made by service men and women.

Lee Greenwood and special guests will perform as every branch of service is recognized. Every man and woman who have served will be honored. The march with the Vietnam Veterans of America will celebrate the principle, “Never again will one generation of veterans abandon another!”

The event will include three special-ticketed music events, concerts and a Remembrance. The parade Route is not yet determined. Currently Parade Marshalls and celebrities include Lee Greenwood, AFR-DJ and Hollywood Actress Chris Noel, Actress/Cover Girl Jennifer O’Neil, Lt. Gen Hugh Smith (Ret), TN Commissioner of Veterans Affairs Many-Bears Grinder, and TN VVA President Barry Rice.

Several small sponsorship opportunities for the event are available. Assistance with food and drink for a post parade lunch is also needed.
