CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. – The spirit of Christmas takes many forms over the holidays and the 8th Annual Warm Souls Christmas with Radical Mission Compassionate Ministries is one of those events that memories are made of.
Hundreds of people in need, homeless, and financially struggling families in the community will gather at the Hilldale Baptist Church Family Life Center on Old Farmers Road Christmas Eve (Dec. 24) to celebrate the joy of Christmas.
Close to 90 churches, dozens of local businesses, and hundreds of volunteers will come together to help those in need in the community with the doors opening at 10 a.m. and the event continuing through 2 p.m.
Everything at Warm Souls Christmas is free. Along with a holiday meal there will be clothing, toys, and household goods. There’s vision screening, haircuts, and Christmas family portraits are also part of the celebration.
The Clarksville Transit System will also join in the holiday spirit by offering free bus rides to and from the event from CTS bus stops within the Clarksville city limits. While you are at Warm Souls you can also enjoy live musical performances.
Volunteers are still needed to help with the event. To learn more about Warm Souls Christmas or volunteer, call 931-648-0110. You can also visit radicalmission.org or warmsoulsclarksville.org.
