CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. (CLARKSVILLENOW) – The following streets will be closed for the 15th Annual Rivers & Spires Festival in downtown Clarksville:
Wednesday, April 19 Beginning at 7 a.m.:
Public Square in front of F&M Bank
Thursday, April 20 Beginning at 7 a.m.:
All of Public Square
Franklin Street from First Street to Public Square
First Street from Franklin Street to Main Street
Strawberry Alley
Friday, April 21 Beginning at 7 a.m.:
On Friday, Downtown will be blocked off from Public Square to Fourth Street and Madison Street to Main Street.
The streets will be closed all day Saturday, April 22 and until 7 a.m. Sunday morning, April 23.
Clarksville Transit System
Clarksville Transit Center will temporarily relocate their Legion Street operations during the Festival. On Friday, April 21 and Saturday, April 22, the alternate staging area for the Clarksville Transit Center will be behind the Disciples of Christ Church on Cooper Place, between Union and Academy Streets. The Routes themselves will not change and any questions can be directed to 931-553-2429. Service from the Legion Street Station will resume as normal on Monday, April 24.
Parking
Handicapped parking is available in the parking garage off Commerce Street in front of the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Department on the first level. It is accessible from Riverside Drive. Please be mindful of the business, private and residential parking in downtown area.
About the Festival
Animals (other than properly credentialed service animals), weapons (including permit holders), and drones are not permitted. Children under the age of 13 may not be left unattended.
Limited seating is available around the event. Festival-goers are urged to bring their own folding or camping chairs. It is also recommended that attendees buy their food and drink tickets early to avoid long lines. Tickets for food and beverages will go on sale at various booths throughout downtown when the Festival opens. Credit/debit cards will be accepted at all ticket booths. We encourage everyone to recycle their plastic and aluminum while at the Festival, so recycling bins will also be placed everywhere a trash bin can be found.
The Festival will take place rain or shine.
