CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. – After four burglary/vandalism incidents at Northwest Little League’s Stokes Field during the month of June, the ballpark has been hit a fifth time.
According to a police report, the league’s treasurer arrived at the field Tuesday around 5:15 p.m. and discovered that someone had torn off the bulletin board from the side of one of the buildings and broken the glass in the board.
Footage from trail cameras shows two possible suspects described as black males riding bicycles near the building. More footage shows another unidentified individual in the area at another time.
None of the cameras are positioned to cover the side of the building where the vandalism took place.
No other suspect information is available at this time.
After the field was damaged four times last month, Representative Joe Pitts and City Councilwoman Deanna McLaughlin organized a fundraiser to help repair the damage and install security features.
Another fundraiser has been planned for Saturday at Rural King. Northwest Little League players will be present to collect donations.
Nova Flow Cafe, which made a donation earlier this month, has decided to donate 100 percent of the cafe’s total sales now through July 31 to the Stokes Field Repair Fund.
Nova Flow Cafe is located in the Two Rivers Shopping Center on Riverside Dr.
