CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. – Clarksville Police Department detectives are investigating a death at a residence on the 100 block of State Line Rd.
A news release said the deceased individual was found Wednesday at 9:36 a.m.
“Based on the information we have and the leads we are following, there does not appear to be any threat to the public,” Officer Natalie Hall said.
The victim has been identified as 18-year-old Katelyn Thomas (Baldoni). The preliminary investigation determined that she had been the victim of assault.
Detectives were able to identify the suspect as her 21-year-old husband, Deashawn Thomas, a soldier at Fort Campbell, KY.
Deashawn Thomas has also been identified as the victim of the fatal car crash on I-24 Eastbound near mile marker 7 that occurred on Wednesday, March 2 at 1:16 a.m.
