Guests must bring a handheld flashlight. If you don’t have one, flashlights are available for purchase in the gift shop. Lanterns, cellphones or headlamps are not allowed for use as a light source. Also not allowed on tours are backpacks, large bags, strollers, child carriers, tripods or similar items.
Clarksville Now was granted special permission, but photography is not allowed inside the cave due to the presence of Native American religious symbols. The temperature inside the cave is 56 degrees Fahrenheit so you may want to bring a light jacket.
The cave walkways are relatively flat but muddy and slippery in some spots with some stooping and climbing of steps also necessary. Because of conditions in the cave ,it is not handicap accessible and not recommended for people with mobility issues.
Cave tours frequently sell out so reservations are the only way to ensure a spot. Also, all tour participants must sign a liability waiver at the front desk before entering the cave and children under the age of 5 are not permitted in the cave.
