CHRISTIAN COUNTY, Ky. – Pennyrile Electric is threatening to drop Time Warner Cable if past due bills for rental on attachments to poles are not paid, according to the company.
“These bills have accumulated over a two year period,” says Pennyrile Electric President & CEO, Eston Glover. “Just like customers of Time Warner Cable are expected to pay their bills for the service they are provided, Pennyrile Electric expects Time Warner to do the same.”
Pennyrile Electric says it has notified Time Warner by certified mail that states if the past due bills are not paid in full by February 27, 2015 at 9 a.m., Pennyrile Electric will disconnect Time Warner’s equipment within its nine-county service area.
Pennyrile Electric requests that cable company customers contact Time Warner Cable and urge them to settle this matter before services are affected.
Time Warner Cable responded to the accusations in an email to ClarksvilleNow.com:
“Time Warner Cable customers should be confident we will take all necessary steps to ensure they won’t lose service due to Pennyrile Electric’s outrageous demands and actions,” said Mike Pedelty, a representative for the company. “Despite what Pennyrile Electric says, customers don’t need to worry about service interruptions, and don’t need to call.”
