CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. – Winter Storm Warning has been issued ahead of a second round of snow on Friday.

This warning is in effect through 6 a.m. Saturday.

A state of emergency has been declared in Tennessee as the storm approaches.

The National Weather Service predicts snow accumulations of four to 7.7 inches, which could make weekend travel hazardous.

Rain today and tonight will change over to a snow and ice mixture early tomorrow from 6-9 a.m. Up to one tenth of ice may accumulate.

By 9 or 10 a.m. precipitation should be mainly snow, which will fall throughout the day Friday.

Scott Unger with the National Weather Service says temperatures will remain below-freezing until Sunday so all that snow could make for hazardous road conditions all weekend.

“Again, another morning commute mess,” he said.
