CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. – (Clarksvillenow.com) The Montgomery County Master Gardeners Association will be hosting the 2016 Garden Tour on June 18th from 9 AM till 3 PM. Six gardens will be featured for viewing with Master Gardeners at all sites to assist and answer questions.
It is a self-guided tour which also offers a variety of yard art, outdoor crafts, birdhouses, stepping stones, as well as herbs and plants at the different gardens. Recently, Clarksvillenow.com paid a visit to the garden of Dewey and Helga Browder in Willow Bend.
The Browder’s describe their backyard as a combination of “Island Gardens” or “Floating Flower Beds” with different characteristics. While walking through the backyard, we discovered that each of the “Island Gardens” had its own individual story and a little bit of history that the Browder’s are happy to share with their guests.
Tickets are $10.00 per person and can be purchased in advance at Mary’s Gardens, Simply Brigitte, Clarksville Quick Printing, Pleasant View Nursery, Salon 201, the Montgomery County Extension Office or at any of the gardens on the day of the tour. For more information call the Montgomery County Extension Office at 931-648-5725.
