According to a police report, the witnesses saw 33-year-old John Weber stop his truck in front of their home on Walnut Grove Rd. They told police a woman got out of the truck and Weber followed her and assaulted her.

Two of the witnesses got in their vehicle and followed Weber to his home on Cunningham Lane. The witnesses exited their vehicle and tried to detain Weber, but he reportedly pulled out a gun and pointed it at them.

The witnesses then called 911 while Weber went inside the house.

When police arrived at the scene they set up a perimeter for the possibility of a barricaded suspect. Officers were able to convince Weber to leave the house and they took him into custody.

The handgun was found in the bathroom with one bullet in the chamber and four in the magazine.

Weber was charged with aggravated assault. His bond was set at $45,000.
