CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. – In celebration of Goodwill Week May 4-8, the three Goodwill Career Solutions centers in Montgomery County will host eight events, including two multi-employer job fairs, a LinkedIn workshop and a CPR training session.

In Montgomery County, one job fair will be from 11 a.m.-2 p.m. Tuesday, May 5, at the Goodwill Career Solutions Center at 1937 Madison St., Clarksville. At least five employers will participate, and positions including licensed practical nurse floaters, forklift operators, rack pickers, electrical maintenance workers, cooks, lifeguards and over-the-road drivers are available. Participating employers include Nia Association, HG Staffing, Clarksville Country Club, Spartan Staffing, R.E. West and more. Pay rates range from $7.25 per hour to $65,000 annually.

Another job fair will be from 10 a.m.-2 p.m. on Thursday, May 7, at the Goodwill Career Solutions Center at 1596-L Ft. Campbell Blvd. At least four employers will participate, including Agero, Speedway, Oak Plains, White Staffing and more. More than 40 openings in areas such as customer service, sales, call center, health care, cashier and welding are available. Pay rates range from $8.25-$18 per hour.

Representatives from these companies will be on site and interviews are possible, so job-seekers should dress for success. Job candidates are encouraged to bring a resume, photo ID, Social Security card or birth certificate.

All three Clarksville Goodwill Career Solutions Centers will hold Learning LinkedIn workshops. Participants will learn to use the social medium as a job search resource, including how to create a professional profile, find job postings and network with potential employers. These will be from 10-11 a.m. Monday, May 4, at the Fort Campbell Boulevard Center; from 9-10 a.m. Wednesday, May 6 at the Madison Street center; and from 1-2 p.m. Wednesday, May 6, at Goodwill Career Solutions Center in the New Providence Community Policing Center, 640 Providence Blvd.

A training class in cardio-pulminary resuscitation, first aid and automated external defibrillator use will be conducted from 9 a.m.-noon on Tuesday, May 5, at the center on Fort Campbell Boulevard.

Other Goodwill Week activities in Montgomery County will include a Food Safety class and a Tennessee Alcohol Beverage Commission Server Permit class.
