CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. (CLARKSVILLENOW) – Clarksville police are investigating after multiple shots were fired in the parking lot of the Silver Dollar Grocery at the intersection of Trenton and Needmore Roads Monday evening.
Clarksville Police Department spokesman Jim Knoll said a man was sitting in his Chevy Tahoe in the parking lot around 6 p.m. when a man in a Chevy Impala tried to block him in. The victim was able to get around the vehicle, but the suspect then began firing shots from a handgun, striking the victim’s vehicle multiple times.
The victim jumped out of his Tahoe and the suspect fled the scene.
Police said the suspect and victim know each other. Officers later discovered that a nearby home and another vehicle were also hit by gunfire.
Police did not indicate that anyway was injured.
A possible suspect has been identified and the investigation is ongoing.
