LOUISVILLE, Ky. – A Lexington, Kentucky, woman and Clarksville man were charged by a federal grand jury Wednesday with a single count of sex trafficking a 15-year-old girl.

According to a press release from United States Attorney John E. Kuhn, Jr., Crystal L. Bradshaw, aka Crystal Thurman, age 41, and Ralph W. Goodwin, age 65, face no less than 10 years in prison and no more than a life sentence, a $250,000 fine, and no less than five years and up to a lifetime of supervised release.

Goodwin was initially charged in a separate, sealed criminal complaint on August 23.

According to an affidavit, a 15-year-old girl was approached by Crystal Bradshaw on Aug. 7 in a Louisville park. Bradshaw took the girl to a Marriott Hotel in Louisville to engage in sexual contact with Ralph Goodwin in exchange for money.

The affidavit says Bradshaw received a payment of $700 from Goodwin, but the girl was not paid. Two days later Goodwin drove the girl to his home in Clarksville. Eventually, the girl contacted a friend on Goodwin’s computer. The friend contacted the girl’s mother, which resulted in her discovery at Goodwin’s Clarksville home.

Goodwin is scheduled for arraignment on September 29 at 9:30 a.m. in Louisville.

This case is being prosecuted by Assistant United States Attorney Amanda Gregory and is being investigated by the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI).
