CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. (CLARKSVILLENOW) – The City of Clarksville Parks + Recreation Department, Altra Federal Credit Union and the downtown businesses have combined forces for this year’s Fright on Franklin on Saturday, Oct. 29 from 3-6 p.m.

Fright on Franklin is a free, family-friendly event featuring safe trick-or-treating, costume contests, and much more in Historic Downtown Clarksville.

Scheduled Activities

Halloween Treats
Visit trick-or-treat stations provided by local businesses throughout Historical Downtown. Treats vary from candy to small toys. (May contain small parts.)
Costume Contest
Show off your costume on stage, located at the corner of Franklin Street and Public Square. Prizes will be awarded for “Best Costume” in each age group and “Best Group.” Pre-registration is required. Only a few spots remain, register online at ww.cityofclarksville.com/fright.

Pumpkin Games
Try your hand at these pumpkin-themed Halloween games: pumpkin bowling and pumpkin ring toss.

Great Pumpkin Carving Contest
Bring your best carving team to the Crow Recreation Center on Friday, Oct. 28 from 4-6 p.m. to compete in the Great Pumpkin Carving Contest! Pumpkins will be on display and judged at Fright on Franklin. Entry fee is $7 per team. Pre-registration required.

Photo Opportunities
Snap a photo or two at the Clarksville Parks + Recreation photo booth. Share your photo on Instagram and tag @ClarksvilleParksRec using the hashtag #frightonfranklin to be entered into a drawing to receive a family fun pack!

Food & Drink
Food trucks, Good Eats and Spudnix, available onsite!

Road Closures & Weather
Streets will be blocked off on Saturday, Oct. 29 from Public Square to N. First Street and from Franklin to Main Street. Public parking is available at the public parking garage.

The event will go on rain or shine. However, should the weather become extreme, we will have to cancel the event for the safety of our vendors and guests. There will not be a rain date for this event.
