CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. – The annual Friends of the Library Used Book Sale is this weekend at the library on Pageant Lane. Hours are Friday, April 29 from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., then continue Saturday from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
All items, which include hardbacks, large print, fiction and non-fiction will be sold for $1 each. The Clarksville-Montgomery County Public Library provides dozens of programs for children, teens and adults and offers many physical and digital resources for free to cardholders. Friends of the Library is a non-profit organization that supports those efforts through donations and volunteering.
The sale will include hundreds of titles from various genres. Visitors can leave with a handful of books while supporting the services and programs the library brings to the community.
The Cumberland Winds Concert Band will play in the library atrium from 1 to 2 p.m. on Saturday during the sale. The free concert will feature pieces for all ages. A large number of musicians who play in a variety of groups make up the band and they aim to enrich the Cumberland River area with musical performances and training.
