Review by Pamela Holz, Realtor with Reliant Realty

Burritos on Fort Campbell Blvd. is one of those restaurants that you may just drive by… unless you know someone who has given it a try. As I had a friend’s recommendation, I drove out to check it out myself.

I would compare it to a simpler version of Qudoba, with a definite local restaurant feel. The décor has a fun, whimsical Mexican theme. The employees were friendly and familiar, obviously proud of their restaurant and the food they served. When they learned it was my first time there, they were eager to make sure that I had a delicious lunch, but as I observed them waiting on the patrons that followed me, they gave them just the same amount of care and attention. I love going to a restaurant where everyone who works there has a sense of pride and ownership in the product and the location. The employees at Burritos exude that feeling.

My lunch was a typical Mexican favorite—I ordered the loaded nachos—but I was amazed at the huge portion of fresh tortilla chips covered in all sorts of yummy Mexican favorites: shredded chicken, onions and peppers, black beans, cheese, lettuce, tomatoes, pico de gallo, guacamole, sour cream and cheese sauce. The condiment bar gave me the freedom to add as much fresh cilantro and jalapeños I wished. I needed a fork to eat these nachos, and there was no way I could finish them. No problem about taking the extras home—they are cleverly served in a take home box.

If nachos aren’t your thing, you can get a huge stuffed burrito or a variety of other Mexican favorites, all available as you like them with lots of meat and topping options. Simple presentation, but tasty and filling… If you are one who likes to support local businesses and likes a quick and flavorful meal, I would definitely recommend giving Burritos a try.
