ELKTON, KY. – (CLARKSVILLENOW) The Todd County Community Alliance will hold its annual “Bale Trail” across Todd County September 12 through October 31 as a fun way to explore Montgomery County’s neighbor to the north.

For the “Bale Trail,” Todd County residents and businesses will use hay and hay bales to create roadside displays. A map on ExploreToddCounty.com will guide visitors to the displays.

Todd County is located between Christian and Logan counties and includes the cities of Trenton, Guthrie, and Elkton.

Robert Penn Warren Birthplace Museum
Penn was America’s first Poet Laureate and won the Pulitzer Prize for the novel “All the King’s Men.” He lived in Guthrie until 1921.

Jefferson Davis Monument State Historic Site
Eight miles west of Elkton, at Fairview, stands the fourth tallest monument in the United States – the tallest poured in place concrete obelisk in the world. Jefferson Davis State Historic Site is a memorial to the Kentuckian who served as President of the Confederacy. He was born on the site on June 3, 1808.
