David “Bubba” Johnson, age 52, died Sunday, January 12, 2014. He was born in Montgomery County, TN, to Edward Ray Johnson and Marion Seay Johnson.
Bubba was a deputy for the Montgomery County Sheriff Department, having served for 16 years. Additionally, he served 11 years for the Clarksville Police Department, for a total of 27 years in law enforcement. He also worked for Seay Oil Company and the Montgomery County Ambulance Service.

A funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, January 15 at First Baptist Church, Faith Chapel, with Dr. Ted Denny officiating. Burial will be at Sango Cemetery. Visitation will be from 3 p.m. until 8 p.m. Tuesday, January 14, and Wednesday, from noon until the hour of service, at the church.
In addition to his parents, Mr. Johnson is survived by his wife, Jennifer Dallas Johnson; one daughter, Shelby Lane Johnson, of Clarksville; one brother, Ray Johnson (Debbie), of Clarksville; two sisters-in-law, Lynda Meece (John) and Dawna Norfleet (Larry); one brother-in-law, Tom Dallas (Donna); five nieces, Kelsey Johnson, Melissa Gruver, Ashley Meece, Johnna Meece Chichy (John), and Brittney Seay; two nephews, Keith Gruver and Joey Dallas; and two great nephews, Jackson Meece and Bryson Chichy.
Officers of the Montgomery County Sheriff Department will serve as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers will be Montgomery County Sheriff Department employees.
